[Grandstream's BudgeTone 100 IP Telephone]

At these sites we have installed Grandstream BudgeTone 100 Internet telephones.

Telephone operation:

These phones are connected to the "Asterisk" PBX system in the Victoria Telecommunity Network. Other phones on this system may be called by dialing the IP phone number for that site.

Also any of the numbers assigned by the Free World Dialup organization in New York (fwd.pulver.com) may also be called by first dialing the prefix **393.

For most home and small business use, these phones should work as delivered just:

  1. connect them to your router or anywhere on your Local Area Network (LAN)
    and
  2. plug them into a power source.

If, however, you are behind a sophisticated institutional firewall, for example in a school, you will likely need the assistance of your local tech support person to assign your phone a static IP address, and supply you with the address of your gateway (router) and the address of your Domain Name System (DNS) server. These locations can be entered on the phone's keypad.
